First-round draft pick Derrick Harmon became the final member of the Pittsburgh Steelers draft class to sign his rookie contract, NFL Network reported Wednesday.
Harmon, a 21-year-old defensive lineman, agreed to a four-year deal worth a fully guaranteed $17,973,604. It includes an approximate $9.7 million signing bonus.
With Harmon in the fold, the Steelers will have all seven draft picks under contract when organized team activities begin next week at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex. The first OTA session is scheduled for Tuesday.
Signing their contracts at rookie minicamp earlier this month were third-rounder Kaleb Johnson, fourth-rounder Jack Sawyer, fifth-rounder Yahya Black, sixth-rounder Will Howard and seventh-rounders Carson Bruener and Donte Kent.
As a redshirt junior at Oregon in 2024, Harmon was named a second-team All-American. He set career highs with five sacks and 10 1/2 tackles for loss. He also had 45 tackles, including 27 solo stops. He broke up four passes, forced two fumbles and recovered two others.
Harmon was selected by the Steelers with the No. 21 overall pick. He is expected to compete for a starting spot on the defensive line in training camp.
