His playing time this past season while N.C. State was on its way to the Final Four was limited to 13 games and an average of 1.2 points, including two brief appearances in the ACC Tournament. But he made a favorable impression — averaging double-digit points — at three other stops after an outstanding high school career.

For three seasons, he was one of the top players in Alabama, scoring a total of 3,871 points at Midfield and Pinson Valley high schools. At Pinson Valley, he averaged 38.1 points per game, hitting 147 3-pointers and scoring 40 or more points 10 times. He was 6A Alabama Player of the Year twice after earning 3A POY honors as a sophomore at Midfield.

In college, he averaged 10.3 points at Troy during the 2020-21 season, 11 at Northwest Florida Community College and 17.3 at North Carolina A&T before joining the Wolfpack in 2023.

Woods is the fifth transfer to commit to Robert Morris coach Andy Toole this offseason, joining Ismael Plet, Amarion Dickerson, Ryan Prather Jr. and Josh Omojafo.
