Robert Morris' Josh Omojafo, Kam Woods join 3 teammates in transfer portal
The unfortunate remnants of success struck Robert Morris again Thursday when 6-foot-5 shooting guard Josh Omojafo and point guard Kam Woods announced plans to enter the transfer portal. That makes four starters to enter the portal since the end of the season.
Omojafo spent two seasons at Division II Gannon before enrolling at Robert Morris, where he played only the recently completed season. He started 33 of the 34 games in which he appeared and averaged 11.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
A native of Hamilton, Ontario, Omojafo shot high percentages for the Colonials during their run to Horizon League regular-season and tournament championships and the NCAA Tournament: 44.3 from the field, 38.4 from beyond the 3-point arc and 81.4 at the free-throw line.

He scored 12 points Friday in Robert Morris’ 90-81 loss to Alabama in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Cleveland.
While starting 28 games, Woods was Robert Morris’ leading scorer and chief distributor, averaging 14.9 points while dishing out 5.2 assists per game (156 total). He compiled an impressive stat line against Alabama, with eight points, eight rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and two steals while commiting only two turnovers in 38 minutes.
Teammates Alvaro Folgueiras and Amarion Dickerson, who earned Horizon Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors, respectively, entered the portal earlier this week. Also, reserve forward Antallah Sandlin’El has decided to transfer.
Elsewhere, Saint Francis shooting guard Daemar Kelly, a Penn Hills graduate, entered the portal. Kelly, a sophomore, averaged 8.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per game this season. Freshman guard Juan Crawford (10.2 points per game) is also planning to transfer.
