LAS VEGAS – Rookie wide receiver Roman Wilson is in uniform and could make his NFL debut Sunday when the Pittsburgh Steelers play the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.

The team’s third-round pick missed the entire preseason because of an ankle injury and was inactive for the first five games of the regular season.

In reality, the Steelers had little choice but to dress Wilson as the No. 5 wide receiver against the Raiders. They entered the game with five players already ruled out because of injury: tight end MyCole Pruitt (knee), running back Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle), outside linebackers Alex Highsmith (groin) and Nick Herbig (hamstring) and safety Damontae Kazee (ankle).

The only healthy scratch for the Steelers was guard Max Scharping, who was added to the 53-man roster after James Daniels was lost for the season to an Achilles injury.

Also inactive for the Steelers was Kyle Allen, who will serve as the No. 3 emergency quarterback. Allen got the designation after being listed as the backup to starter Justin Fields for the first five games while Russell Wilson worked his way back from a calf injury.

Russell Wilson will back up Fields against the Raiders. Running back Jaylen Warren is active after missing the past two games with an ankle injury. He was removed from the injury report Saturday.

The Raiders will be without three playmakers on offense: wide receiver Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers and running back Zamir White. Also inactive for Las Vegas are cornerback Sam Webb, linebacker Tommy Eichenberg, tackle Thayor Munford Jr. and defensive end Janarius Robinson.
