The Single-A debut of Paul Skenes, selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2023 MLB Draft, will be broadcast for free on MLB.com as the MiLB Game of the Day.

Skenes, a 6-foot-6, 260-pound right-handed pitcher who is ranked the No. 3 overall prospect by MLB Pipeline, will pitch for the Low-A Bradenton Marauders against the Lakeland Flying Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at LECOM Park.

Skenes signed with the Pirates for an MLB Draft-record $9.2 bonus on July 18.

He made his professional debut Thursday for the Florida Complex League Pirates, completing a 1-2-3 inning by throwing eight of his 11 pitches for strikes. He threw 10 four-seam fastballs that all registered between 99-101 mph, touching triple digits seven times.

Skenes is expected to pitch one inning for Bradenton on Tuesday.
