James Pierre keeps finding his way back to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The veteran cornerback re-signed with the team Thursday when he agreed to a one-year contract.

Pierre, 28, appeared in 15 games last season with the Steelers, re-joining them after he was released by the Washington Commanders in training camp. A core special teams player, Pierre appeared in 15 games and started twice at cornerback. He had 12 tackles, one interception, two forced fumbles and three pass breakups. He played 63% of all special teams snaps and 21% of the defensive snaps.

Pierre originally joined the Steelers in 2020 as an undrafted free agent. He has appeared in 81 games, making eight career starts, with the Steelers.
