Steelers injury report: Joey Porter Jr. full practice participant, Jaylen Warren limited
Joey Porter Jr. returned to Pittsburgh Steelers practice Tuesday, six days after he sat out a game because of a knee injury. The Steelers No. 1 cornerback, Porter suffered the injury in a Dec. 21 loss at the Baltimore Ravens.
Porter was regarded as a full practice participant on Tuesday’s league-mandated injury report.
Also injured during that game was depth receiver Ben Skowronek (hip), who like Porter sat out the Dec. 25 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Skowronek practiced Tuesday, albeit in a limited capacity.
Coach Mike Tomlin on Monday said he expected to have a fully healthy active roster for Saturday’s regular season finale at home against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Also on the injury report but practicing fully Tuesday was backup quarterback Justin Fields, who has been limited to duty as an “emergency” No. 3 QB the past two games because of an abdominal injury.
Listed as limited was co-No. 1 running back Jaylen Warren, who has a rib ailment.
Of the three players who returned to practice Tuesday after lengthy terms on the injured reserve or physically unable to perform lists, receiver Roman Wilson (hamstring) was a full participant and inside linebacker Cole Holcomb (knee) and defensive lineman Logan Lee (calf) were regarded as limited.
Holcomb remains on PUP and rookies Lee and Wilson on IR.
