Steelers injury report: Nick Herbig remains limited, MyCole Pruitt does not practice
It’s appearing increasingly likely that Nick Herbig will miss a fourth consecutive Pittsburgh Steelers game because of a hamstring injury. Herbig again was listed Thursday as a limited participant in practice via the injury report.
Reserve tight end MyCole Pruitt was the only injury-related change Thursday from the day prior. Pruitt was added to the report because of a knee injury and did not practice. A 10-year veteran, Pruitt missed four games earlier this season because of a knee injury but had taken part in each of the Steelers’ past two games.
Coming out of their bye, the Steelers will practice one more time Friday before Sunday’s game at the Washington Commanders.
Starting center Zach Frazier almost assuredly will return after a two-game absence related to an ankle injury. Frazier continues to practice fully this week. Running back and return man Cordarrelle Patterson also is on track to return after missing four games because of an ankle ailment.
Patterson practiced fully Thursday, as did backup quarterback Justin Fields (hamstring), special-teamer Tyler Matakevich (hamstring) and receiver Ben Skowronek (shoulder). Matakevich and Skowronek remain on injured reserve.
