Steelers Joe Haden seals win against former team Browns
Joe Haden dropped two potential game-sealing interceptions last week. He spent time at practice making sure it wouldn’t happen again.
It paid off — and against his former team of seven years, too.
Haden’s interception of Baker Mayfield with 1 minute, 6 seconds to play ended the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 20-13 victory against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Haden couldn’t think of a better script for this game.

“I honestly couldn’t,” Haden said. “I am very excited about it. Any time you can get an interception in a close game —last week I dropped two of them to close the game, so who knows. So working on the jugs and making sure if they ball came to me, I was going to be able to catch it, so it feels good.”
Haden’s interception came while he was lunging to the ground to his left on a pass intended for Jarvis Landry. It was his second of the season, the 24th of his 10-year career and fifth since he was signed by the Steelers in August 2017.
Haden’s 14 passes defended lead the Steelers and are tied for second most in the NFL.
