Two Kentucky Fried Chicken locations have transformed into a Steelers fan’s paradise, but they’re not in Pittsburgh — they’re in Mexico.

KFC Mexico approached the team about creating Steelers-themed KFC locations in Mexico City and Guadalupe, according to Cecelia Cagni, the Steelers’ director of corporate communications.

Temporary Steelers branding of the two locations began Jan. 14 and will run through Feb. 9, she said.

A neon Steelers logo can be seen outside of one of the spots, according to X and Instagram. Inside, there are themed tables and decor, including jerseys.

The Steelers have a significant fan base in Mexico — about 7.6 million supporters — and the partnership with KFC Mexico reflects that, Cagni said.

The partnership grew out of the NFL’s Global Markets Program, which grants teams access to international markets, she said.

Mexico is one of the Steelers’ three global markets license locations. The others are Ireland and Germany.

The Steelers links to Mexico are reflected in other ways:

  • Dedicated Spanish language social media platforms
  • Spanish language audio game broadcasts for all preseason and regular season games
  • Hosting parties in Mexico where Steelers fans can gather and watch games together
  • Hosting youth football camps with current and former Steelers
