Russell Westbrook joined Wilt Chamberlain on Tuesday night as the only players in NBA history to net a 20-point, 20-rebound, 20-assist triple-double in NBA history.

During the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 119-103 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, Westbrook’s official numbers during 37 minutes of play were 20 points, 20 rebounds and 21 assists.

For those paying attention, that’s essentially two triple-doubles in a single game.

In the final moments, as Westbrook corralled his 20th rebound of the contest, the superstar banged on his chest and said “That’s for Nipsey!”

Rapper Nipsey Hussle was slain Sunday in Los Angeles in front of a clothing store he owned.

Westbrook is from L.A.

During a post-game interview with Jason Terry, Westbrook reiterated that he dedicated his performance to Hussle.

“That wasn’t for me, man. That was for my bro. That was for Nipsey. Twenty plus twenty plus twenty. They know what that means,” Westbrook said. “Rest in peace to Nipsey. I’m just thankful to be able to go out there and compete at a high level.”

Westbrook said accomplishing the feat and being able to recognize the fallen rapper meant “everything” to him.

“It’s somebody I looked up to, somebody that paved the way for guys like myself growing up in the inner-city. Having those conversations with him. I’m truly saddened by this situation and (am) just continuing to pray for his family.

Westbrook added that he aims to continue Hussle’s legacy “the right way by being positive in the community.”

Meanwhile, Westbrook is working on his third consecutive season of averaging a triple-double.

Tuesday’s historic outing was the eighth 15-15-15 game of Westbrook’s career – tying him with Chamberlain for the second-most of such games in league history – and pulled him within three assists of securing a triple-double average for the season again, according to USA Today.

When Chamberlain put up 20-20-20 in 1968, he played for the Philadelphia 76ers, where he compiled 22 points, 25 rebounds and 21 assists.
