The Meadows suspends onsite race wagering; live racing continues without spectators
The Meadows Casino Racetrack Hotel in Washington County announced Friday that onsite race wagering temporarily will be suspended starting at 11:59 p.m. Friday night.
Live racing at the 5/8-mile harness track will continue, though public access to the racetrack and racing operations will be prohibited.
Live harness racing currently is scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, beginning at 12:45 p.m. each day.
The casino remains open Sunday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It closes each night to disinfect and sanitize the property.
It is with an abundance of caution that effective at 11:59 PM tonight, we will suspend onsite simulcast wagering and prohibit spectators at Live races. Live racing will continue according to schedule.

“It is with an abundance of caution that we are suspending onside race wagering and prohibiting spectators at live races,” Tony Frabbiele, The Meadows vice president and general manager, said in a release.
“We will continue to work with the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association and the State Horse Racing Commission to maintain the safest conditions so that we may host live races on the racetrack as currently scheduled.”
The Meadows officials said fans are encouraged to play online at Xpressbet,com or Hollywoodraces.com. Live races can be viewed at meadowsgaming.com.
