Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott after the gamein Pittsburgh, Sunday, Dec. 15.

Wednesday’s “Breakfast With Benz” podcast features Trib columnist Kevin Gorman. It’s our weekly wrap-up of Mike Tomlin’s press conference.

Kevin and I look at the fallout from the loss to the Buffalo Bills in terms of playoff impact. Gorman still has his eyes on the Browns as a threat. I don’t. I’m strictly worried about the Tennessee Titans.

We also look ahead to the challenges presented by the New York Jets this Sunday. Week 16 on the road was a disaster for the Steelers last year as they suffered a heartbreaking loss to the New Orleans Saints. They must flip that script in 2019.

The Jets can play defense. And the Buffalo Bills last week provided a blueprint for the Jets to follow. Kevin and I are both concerned about that.

We both agree with Tomlin’s decision to go with Devlin Hodges as the quarterback on Sunday. And we are in agreement about how the Steelers were flawed when they got away from the run too quickly against the Bills.

See if you are on the same page with us.

The Steelers defense has been great. But Buffalo’s was better Sunday. That needs to change against New York.

Oh yeah, then there’s that Le’Veon Bell fellow. The Steelers face him for the first time as an opponent Sunday. And he may hurt his old club in a way you may not be expecting.

All that plus the Christmas gifts Kevin will be bringing back to me from New York.
