Pitt’s Guillermo Diaz-Graham (25) attempts a 3-pointer against Boston College on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Petersen Events Center.

One of Pitt’s towering twins has found a new place to play.

Guillermo Diaz Graham, a 7-foot junior forward from Spain’s Canary Islands, committed to San Francisco on Monday night.

Diaz Gram averaged 6.2 points and 5.0 rebounds this past season for the Panthers. He shot 42% from the field and 3-point range.

He and his twin brother Jorge entered the transfer portal after the season. Both have one season of eligibility remaining.

When Guillermo Diaz Graham announced his transfer March 27, he posted a message on social media, saying: “Over the past three years, I’ve grown in ways I never imagined on but specifically off the court. Wearing the Pitt jersey was a true honor, and I’ll always take pride in having been a part of this program and culture.”

After finishing 17-15 (8-12 ACC) and falling short of a berth in the NCAA Tournament, Pitt lost six players to the transfer portal, including point guard Jaland Lowe, who committed to Kentucky.

Pitt’s three remaining scholarship players include only one starter, forward Cam Corhen, plus reserves Brandin Cummings and Amdy Ndiaye.

Coach Jeff Capel has received commitments from four transfers so far: former Iowa State players Dishon Jackson, a center, and guard Nojus Indrusaitis; South Alabama shooting guard Barry Dunning Jr.; and guard Damarco Minor from Oregon State.

WVU adds forward

West Virginia first-year men’s basketball coach Ross Hodge announced the signing of forward Jackson Fields. The 6-8 senior played the last three seasons at Troy, where he averaged 7.9 points and 4.8 rebounds and shot 48.7% from the field last season.

He is the fourth player to transfer to WVU this offseason, joining point guard Honor Huff (Chattanooga), forward Brenen Lorient (North Texas) and center Harlan Obioha (UNCW).
