AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh and Verizon have reached a deal to return the regional sports network to the FiOS TV lineup, effective immediately.

AT&T SportsNet, home to Penguins and Pirates games, went dark on Verizon systems on Sept. 30 following a retransmission spat over a new contract.

A joint release issued by Verizon on behalf of Verizon and AT&T SportsNet did not offer specific terms of the “long-term agreement” for carriage of the sports network, which can be found in the Pittsburgh region on Channels 76 and 1525 and in HD on Channel 576 with an alternate channel on 81 and 1528 and in HD on 581 when there are programming conflicts (e.g. two games of local interest at once) on SportsNet’s primary channel.

Earlier this year ATT SportsNet secured carriage on streaming options fuboTV (launching by Jan. 1), AT&T TV and AT&T TV Now, offering consumers an OTT (over the top) delivery alternative to traditional cable and satellite distribution services.
