Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin speaks with quarterback Russell Wilson during practice on Aug. 8, 2024, at Saint Vincent College.

Some quarterbacks just aren’t going to come to Pittsburgh.

Other quarterbacks may never leave.

And certain Pirates may take a little longer to put on the uniform than we all hoped.

All these topics have our readers simmering in this week’s “U mad, bro?”

Someone calling themselves “Pirate Crusher (so I assume it’s Sid Bream) sent me this email about newly acquired — and already injured — Spencer Horwitz.

Maybe Lonnie Chisenhall is available?

Well, Lonnie was never available in the first place. I doubt he will be now.

Raymond was (understandably) frustrated with some of Art Rooney II’s postseason comments.

This person responded to last week’s “U mad, bro?

Maybe that’s because the sun hasn’t come up on a postseason win of any type since 2018, and our teams have a way of throwing cold water on whatever hot streak they may be on at the time.

But, yeah, intentionally or not, it did come off a little bit like, “No. Pittsburgh? Why would I want to go there?”

From, yes, Jacksonville, by the way.

Finally, “Slappy McGee71 replied to my column that I wrote comparing the Steelers to the 50th anniversary of “Saturday Night Live.

Let’s hope. Lorne Michaels clearly knew where to find A-list athletes — like John Belushi and Chris Farley
