U mad, bro?: Early Pirates injuries, constant Steelers QB confusion have Pittsburgh fans grumbling
Some quarterbacks just aren’t going to come to Pittsburgh.
Other quarterbacks may never leave.
And certain Pirates may take a little longer to put on the uniform than we all hoped.
All these topics have our readers simmering in this week’s “U mad, bro?”
Someone calling themselves “Pirate Crusher” (so I assume it’s Sid Bream) sent me this email about newly acquired — and already injured — Spencer Horwitz.
“Maybe Lonnie Chisenhall is available?”
Well, Lonnie was never available in the first place. I doubt he will be now.
Raymond was (understandably) frustrated with some of Art Rooney II’s postseason comments.

“Rooney saying, ‘It’s not like we haven’t had some success around here,’ shows the mindset of someone with low expectations. How can he be the majority owner with that type of thinking??”
How? His last name. That’s how.
I mean, he’s the owner. What’s he gonna do? Fire himself?
This person responded to last week’s “U mad, bro?”
Suns hot water is wet Pittsburgh fans are always angry.

Maybe that’s because the sun hasn’t come up on a postseason win of any type since 2018, and our teams have a way of throwing cold water on whatever hot streak they may be on at the time.
Dan wasn’t wild about my column regarding the potential of Russell Wilson returning to the Steelers.
Wow, that's a very depressing article Tim! I know it's the hard truth, but , it's been a long winter and I need some optimism of some hope that the Steelers will make a quarterback change!

So you want me to become a fiction writer then, Dan? Is that what you are asking of me?
Didn’t I just try to do that earlier in the week with the whole Trevor Lawrence fiasco?
Speaking of Lawrence, this guy has some thoughts about what he had to say in reference to the trade rumors.
Can't blame him
Run, run, 5 yard hitch on 3rd and 8 doesn't really bode well for QBs with aspirations of All Pro and super bowl wins

I hear you. Watching the interview, I didn’t feel like Lawrence was attempting to sound disrespectful or dismissive of the Steelers at all. I think he was just trying to reiterate that he didn’t even like the idea of being traded.
But, yeah, intentionally or not, it did come off a little bit like, “No. Pittsburgh? Why would I want to go there?”
From, yes, Jacksonville, by the way.
Finally, “Slappy McGee71” replied to my column that I wrote comparing the Steelers to the 50th anniversary of “Saturday Night Live.”
Sadly Art Rooney II isn't the genius that Lorne is. And Omar Khan and Andy Weidl and Mike Tomlin don't have the eye for talent he does.Maybe Lorne can handle the Steelers draft and free agency from now on.

Let’s hope. Lorne Michaels clearly knew where to find A-list athletes — like John Belushi and Chris Farley
