The Penguins have had yet another game postponed due to covid-19.

On Sunday night, the NHL announced the Penguins’ road contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs was postponed.

It marks the fourth consecutive game the Penguins have had postponed including the following:

Dec. 21 - vs. New Jersey Devils

Dec. 23 - vs. Philadelphia Flyers

Dec. 27 - at Boston Bruins

No makeup dates have been determined.

To date, the NHL has postponed 67 games league-wide this season. With the league opting not to participate in the upcoming Olympics, it is hoped a significant portion of those games can be played during the break the league scheduled in February with respect to the Olympics.

As of now, the Penguins’ next scheduled game is a road contest against the Ottawa Senators on Friday, 1 p.m.

Their most recent game was a 3-2 road win against the New Jersey Devils on Dec. 19. Assuming Friday’s game is played as planned, the Penguins - in the midst of a seven-game winning streak - will have gone 11 days between games.

Follow the Penguins all season long.
