Rising redshirt senior Ian Korn, who had an exceptional season for Seton Hill, is transferring to West Virginia for a season of Division I baseball.

Korn, the NCBWA Division II National Pitcher of the Year, went 11-2 with a 1.81 ERA and 83 strikeouts in 84 innings this year. Opponents batted just .197 against the productive right-hander, who earned first-team All-American recognition from three entities.

He also was the D2CCA and NCBWA Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Year.

Korn has one year of eligibility remaining.

Women’s track and field

Michigan: Sophomore Liz Tapper (Hempfield) earned second-team All-American honors in the shot put. Tapper finished 14th in the event at the NCAA outdoor championships in Oregon with a throw of 55 feet, 81/4 inches.
