The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins signed forward Brayden Edwards to a two-year American Hockey League contract beginning with the 2025-26 season.

That transaction was announced on Friday.

Edwards, 20, just completed his junior career with the Western Hockey League’s Lethbridge Hurricanes. As an “overager” during the 2024-25 season, the right-handed Edwards led the Hurricanes in goals (31), assists (46) and points (77) over 65 games.

In the postseason, Edwards (6-foot-1, 188 pounds) posted 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) in 16 contests.

During the 2024 preseason, Edwards participated in the Detroit Red Wings’ training camp as a non-roster invitee.
