Wilkinsburg native and West Virginia safety Kenny Robinson was among four players signed to reserve/future contracts with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday.
Robinson was a PIAA Class A all-state honoree while playing for Imani Christian, though he began his high school career at University Prep. A first-team Big 12 selection in 2018, Robinson (6-2, 200) played in 19 regular-season games for the Carolina Panthers after being a fifth-round choice of that team in 2020.

Also signed Tuesday were wide receiver Dez Fiztpatrick and defensive backs Madre Harper and Chris Wilcox.
Fitzpatrick was taken 109th overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2021 draft 21 months ago. The 6-2, 210-pound receiver has five regular-season games of NFL experience, making five catches for 49 yards and a touchdown.
The 6-2, 190-pound Harper, a cornerback, appeared in 12 games over the 2020 and ‘21 seasons for the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers. Wilcox (6-2, 195) was taken in the seventh round of the 2021 draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but has no NFL regular-season experience.
The Steelers signed 10 other players to reserve/futures contracts Tuesday as they continue to build their 90-man offseason roster in the wake of their just-completed 2022 season.
