New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone certainly got his money’s worth after he was ejected from the opener in Thursday’s doubleheader against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Apparently Boone was upset with rookie umpire Brennan Miller’s generous strike zone. Boone’s carping in the second inning after Brett Gardner was called out on strikes led Miller to toss him from the dugout.

Miller had called Aaron Judge out on strikes earlier in the game.

But, as always, it didn’t end there.

Boone approached Miller and gave him an earful laced with curse words, but he was polite about it.

In tweets we can’t share here, someone released footage of the scene that captured audio via “hot” microphones.

Boone growing weary of what he thought were bad calls:

“(Expletive) get better Brennan, let’s (expletive) go … really bad start.”

“I heard you, Aaron,” Miller said.

A bit more riding of Miller caused Boone to get tossed, when he then approached home plate.

“My guys are (expletive) savages in that (expletive) box and you’re having a piece of (crap) start to this game. I fell bad for ya, but (expletive) better.”

“That guy is a good pitcher,” Boone said, gesturing toward Rays pitcher Yonny Chirinos.

“But our guys are (expletive) savages in that (expletive) box,” he repeated.

He finished the rant by telling Miller to “tighten up right now, OK?”

According to The Associated Press, that was Boone’s third time getting tossed this season, and his seventh ejection in two years as a big league manager.

The Yankees went on to win the contest 6-2.
